My family and I just returned from a vacation at Myrtle Beach, SC. A really beautiful place. I got up every morning at 5:30 AM and sat on the beach to watch the sunrise. Great imagery and spectacular colors. Seeing a fiery orange globe slowly arise fom the ocean was a truly spiritual experience. Of course, my wife and kids thought I was going psycho for getting up so early on vacation. To me it was well worth it. I am posting a series of images from that week. All photos were taken between 5:30 and 7:30 AM. A few of the images are my first attempt at HDR. Please feel free to comment, criticize, make suggestions. I hope you enjoy my photos.

@bruno: Thank you Bruno...This flag is not about just one man. It represents the American soldiers who served in the Vietnam war, but unfortunately, did not return home. POW stands for "Prisoner Of War", and MIA stands for "Missing In Action". Many years after the war has ended, there are still American soldiers who are unaccounted for - dead or still alive in Vietnam. That country has yet to fully account for our missing soldiers. The flag represents our deepest grief and compassion for the missing soldiers and deepest sympathy for the families who still - after 30 plus years, do not know what happened to their loved ones. I know your country was also involved. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to explain what this means to so many people. Merci beaucoup.
